I don’t see the problem with it. As stated, /who exists. It’s just a quality of life, and maybe quality of network improvement if we don’t have to spam /who all the time.

Don’t care for the /accept command either. Honestly, I don’t want to be bothered with people adding me or asking me why I haven’t accepted their friend invites.

I like the idea. Since we already have food that encompasses a lot of bonuses, I’d like to see some more volatile effects from booze. For example, a damage boost that comes with a defense loss. Maybe drunken state could let you bypass shields or something too, cause shield meta is a little overpowered. You could also ferment foods to make them last longer, that would be nice.

These guys are right, if you wait for a new server you most assuredly won’t be a top player. There is a lot to learn about this game, and things you need to experience first hand. There is also a lot of undocumented information, because sharing knowledge makes it harder for top players to stay on top. I would suggest playing and learning the game long before a new server is released if you don’t just want to be assassination experience. You can play 24 hours a day and not be a good player if you’re too green.

Recycling materials from equipment gets suggested a lot, and will probably never happen in that capacity. It would only serve to make crafting easier to level, which doesn’t seem like something that needs to be implemented. If you can come up with a better alternative to just getting materials back, then you might have an idea.

Yeah this sort of thing would be okay-ish for a low level player with low to medium levels of armor. But for you Quiet? Nah it would be overpowered.

Try USE my man. We shut that sort of behavior down usually.

I just want you to know this problem is 100% player made. If people didn’t cage every animal they found there would be plenty living in the wilderness for everyone.

Killing a non-violent troll does nothing to curb their behavior. If you catch a road blocker, you can just destroy the walls and take the resources. If you don’t catch him(her), well you wouldn’t have been able to kill him(her) anyway.

do you really expect us to pay 15 gold to kill a griefer 1 time when they can respawn all they want

No my man, absolutely not. It would be absurd if a griefer could just cost you 15 gold on a whim. Thing is whether you kill a griefer or not, he is gonna continue to grief you. So let’s set griefing aside for a sec.
If you wanna go around and slaughter like five or six new players who are out there struggling in the world, cost them time and resources that you might take for granted, then yeah absolutely, you should have to pay 15 gold to get off the hook.

To give a perfect example of why this flawed, broken system doesn’t work – a level 10 just aggro’d me and was hitting me repeatedly. He had infamy. I turned, after taking a good few hits, and pasted him.

Welcome to 10K Infamy. Or, in other words, six hours of weapon training while I wait for it to go away.

He had infamy. For attacking me. Yet, when I kill him, I take a massive penalty even though he’s a wanker.

Good job dude you found a bug, but I get credit for it cause I reported it properly instead of being a cry baby.

Now you say if they attack you first you dont get penalized…FLAWED.. a troll doesnt have to attack anyone to troll simply blocking roads is enough for a troll how are you gona get a troll to attack you first when their troll is to block roads not kill people so you can NEVER use that feature if they dont attack first which is the key word of the day….FLAWED.

Now you say the original game had this issue so its fine…FLAWED i have never seen more then 100people in East server want to know why… because people QUIT because of these..FLAWS!.

Next …Flaw..if u saying “oh he built on main road people shoulda took advantage my 5minute build rule” bring east server most people have same time zone…most your community have jobs have kids or have school or even just a life. Some troll can simply login at 4am eastern time when normal people sleep and succesfully troll while your main players who stay to play are sleeping. Are you seriously suggesting we will have to play server body guard down main roads taking shifts just to prevent road blockers which dont attack people so cant be killed for low infamy penalty…heres that word.. FLAWED.

None of this has anything to do with infamy, it can all be done just as effectively with or without the system. You’re losing the ability to freely kill someone who wants you to kill them and loses basically nothing by dying, so what?

You can’t implement a system that completely prevents PvP and raiding if a main attraction of the game is PvP and raiding.

It doesn’t prevent pvp or raiding at all. Tower infamy caps at like 300 seconds. You only get like one or two minutes of infamy for killing someone near your level, increasing as the level gap widens. So like what is this thrilling pvp you’re dying to have, just you walking around killing weaklings and taking their wool?

Oh man, you thought breaking walls gives you infamy? Nah, in fact, what you’re describing about the newbie coming back and placing more walls sounds like a fun little game of whack-a-mole. Better to leave him alive and just kill his walls while they are ultra-weakened in the first five minutes for free resources. I guess you got outsmarted by the newbie that time, but you can learn from your mistakes.

Just out curiosity, how does having infamy allow a low level player to place walls on the road or all over your market any easier than before?

I mean its as simple as creating an alt, giving him a little stone and clay, and dropping walls wherever, people have been doing it since the beginning. Killing toxic players has never curbed their behavior, so I don’t see how it’s suddenly a problem that you can’t kill them for free.

Honestly, it seems to me like most of the griefing is coming from players who’re just mad about the change.

It wasn’t the only one, we broke down two gigantic ones in the west too. I’m sure there were probably more than just that!

The biggest problem with chicken coops is the abysmal spawning rate, that’s why yours don’t last forever. If you don’t rely on a single dog or hornet to kill your chickens, you don’t have to worry about it dying. So let’s say you use my example, where you just have 4 chickens inside a stone wall and nothing else. A chicken dies? A chicken spawns almost immediately, because chickens in the world are dying much much quicker, and on a greater scale, and new chickens will spawn on an egg.

So why doesn’t this work with the private farms? It’s because of the same chicken spawning rule, a chicken must die for a chicken to spawn. So all the farms in the game are waiting for a single wolf or hornet to kill a single chicken so another single chicken can spawn, it’s a massive bottle neck. What can make this worse is when a killing monster dies off and doesn’t get replaced immediately.

Why are we putting up with this absurdly slow chicken spawn rate, when there are desperate people out there looking for feathers? I think everyone just adopted this idea from FL, honestly. They just wanted an easy way to farm a few feathers without allowing others to do the same, it’s a bad practice and it’s really just gonna help everyone if we reform.
