Beds are there for you to gain stardust while you’re logged out. If you don’t want to be killed while logged out simply don’t use a bed.
Im half with you. Thrown weapons? Nah, weapon types are fine for now and unarmed is in the works for an addition.
Traps? Most definitely yes. Smoke trap is an idea, mud trap should be a thing it’s already a mechanic, arrow traps that shoot a straight line? Poison trap? With the slow additions to offensive abilities it’s about time for defense to get more complicated.
I’m super happy with the state of pay benefits in game. Pure cosmetics make this a fair game to all. The costume change may seem like a cash grab to some, but to me the previous system was dang generous. 120+ costumes free with status? UNHEARD OF. Now there’s a bit more personality to the system. We all know who the goat or dog or swan is on our server. Diamonds can be gifted, there is trading in play.
This system is an entirely different model than other games where your money is a ‘membership’ for expanded content or ‘donation’ for items with stats you can’t find without paying real money or the newish concept of loot boxes and item packs since the turn of mobile gaming. If this game can sustain it’s servers on a reasonably priced cosmetic pay model. PLEASE KEEP IT THIS WAY.
I feel like that’s part of the strategy with them. Maybe not? But wall shadows overlap floors, not the items placed on them. IRL something on top of a floor would show a shadow differently than the plain floor, because of course there’s something there. It makes sense to me to account for shadows in your base’s defense plan.
My first thought when I opened Mystera Legacy was “wow… That’s a small field of view…”
The game should have been like this all along and I’m happy that it’s becoming refined to what I’d call an almost finished product for the task to the dev team. I’m certainly no old player here but I could see this blow up to millions of downloads on Google Play a year from now if the devs can keep up with progress and balancing.New UI is pretty clunky, but it’s a big rework. I think this is the whole point of it and the refinements will come fairly soon from all these forum posts 🙂
Typing /chat /fontsize 10 every time I load the game is a bother. Remembering settings for account/IP would be greatly appreciated.I feel like holding your kill’s equipment and screenshot is a good treasure. Killing a level 32 player doesn’t need a permanent memento, death is all too common in mystera for it to be an event every time. Killing a level 102 player, you’ll likely grab a custom
named piece of equipment with unique stats and that’s what a trophy is. There are already trophies in game, I don’t need a participation ribbon for every gank.I like the activeness of the game and think this idea may interfere with that concept. If you’re not online your base could be raided. If you’re online you can place a bounty on anyone you want in global chat, it’s already a thing. The community speaks and knows each other. “20g to anyone who kills xxx” gets a response if anyone’s interested. NPCs arent even in the game, the whole thing is built and run by players. A bounty mechanic would throw the scales to the trolls. ‘~top tribe~ doesn’t like new players mouth in global chat, let’s bounty them until they quit’ is all I see happening with that system.
Never heard of anyone ever being legitimately “hacked” for a game account. I’ve seen people click “get free World of Warcraft gold here!” and download a virus. I’ve seen 50 times as many people share their password or account info to someone somewhere and have it stolen later on because they failed to secure their account. Never a properly secured account straight up stolen out of nowhere.
July 13, 2018 at 12:33 am in reply to: Switching On/Off The Damage of Breaking Your Own Walls #10142I build on an alt account, and strategically placed dummies, and extra length doors to prevent myself from punching holes in my walls. That’s a lot of work for what could instead be a /build command disabling destruction. Then I could train destruct on my own walls and unarmed on a dummy. Mechanics that make alt accounts NECESSARY are quite troublesome, and I hope future updates refine this.
+2 to everything Kaios said exactly. I’m on board.
Left side of player shrinking from 6 clickable tiles to 2 is Major concern.
I don’t think a pet/carry system is viable. There is weight, encumberment, organized trait, packrat skill, all playing into the inventory system. Dogs as a whole need a rework on pathfinding/ai they’re impractical in so many situations they’re basically useless EXCEPT in the sole instance you provide – being on overworld in a wide open space to prevent having to stop mining/chopping for 1-2 hits.
If tamed dogs could be walked over by players but not mobs, that’s a game changer, but I’m happy myself with the weight system as-is.
you can hide your items under planks already, i dont think roofs are good idea. i like the larger field of view, just gotta change some buildings to adapt.
