It levels normally you just start off with the previous 10 levels completed already.
Some people only ascend, some people reincarnate, some people stop reincarnating and then start ascending. In theory it’s designed to allow you to go back and forth depending on how you want to play. And yes there are people who have reincarnated over 90 times.If he reset everything I’d just quit and I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only one. There’s not really any reason to reset everyone just because the game suddenly becomes “official.”
IMO it would definitely make archery useless. It serves the same functionality as archery (ranged attack) except it’s way, way better.
The best bow currently has a base damage of 5. His best staff has a base damage of 20 lol. Plus really good effects like chain attacks. It also don’t require ammo, which is the worst part of archery because of feathers. No one would even bother with archery if this was available.Personally I don’t think we need anymore weapon types unless they actually do something different. The only thing really different about the staves is the effects that he is mentioning. Maybe a good compromise would be if we had different types of arrows that could do these different effects. Personally I’d like to see a magic system one day but I wrote another post about that and my preference for magic would be something more than just yet another weapon option.
I like magic but this seems like it would make archery completely obsolete.
Maybe there could be some kind of rare or expensive item, a trans-dimensional gatekey, that lets you warp your toon to a different server.
No one rages harder than me when I die but even I think this update is too much.
I get that Admin probably wants to make the game more friendly for newer players so that he can grow his game but there’s too much oversight now to the point that the game isn’t really a sandbox. More like a hugbox.
Admin said he wanted the game to be a social experiment but the results of that experiment were always predictable if you know human nature. Power + no accountability = abuse. Everyone knew that. So now he tries to fix the 2nd part of that equation by implemented even more punishments but it is at the expense of the integrity of the game. For example, what exactly is the purpose of grinding away and accumulating all this power in a game if you have no ability to use it? The game is starting to send mixed signals about what is and isn’t allowed. The “fixes” are stacking up more and more and are becoming ever less intuitive.
My guess is the same people that whine about being innocent victims and make big spectacles about quitting would be the same ones killing if they were strong enough.If we can’t use alts to defend against raids then we shouldn’t be able to use alts to help raid either.
Does it also mitigate the speed penalty of medium and heavy armor?

I think alt abuse is the single most lame thing about this game.
What if there was some kind of death cap for players so that they couldn’t endlessly use the same alt to troll?
Like if you reach a certain number of deaths within a certain time frame, it equals a permadeath for that character.
