i think they’re running 70-80ish on texas right now, but if you’re not playing on texas you may have a hard time getting the gold there to buy it 🙂
i’ve seen it, it seems to happen when you’re leaving the area that the person that was talking in local chat was on. Like, i’m talking to X and I start walking away, and he responds, but I am far enough off from him that it just kind of cuts his name off
I’ve also heard that this is the voice of dev, lol, but based on the times I’ve seen this message happen it was definitely the person I just spoke to
change servers, however, if your own behavior led everyone on your server to want to kill you then you’re going to suffer the same fate on the next one. maybe spend some time reviewing what got you here and avoid those behaviors in the future. if everyone is simply out to get you for absolutely no reason, unlikely as that is, then you shouldn’t have any issues starting fresh.
I agree. There is no way to know how much time you have left without getting someone to lens you
It has to do with how many posts or responses you’ve made in forums. You’ve actually moved from Penguin to Turtle now. I don’t know what the exactly thresholds are on this though, just keep responding (not spamming) when you see things you have comments on, or post questions here, and your rank will change over time.
Its possibly a lag issue, not sure about your items though I know some people have talked about accidentally dropping items while walking before. Try slowing down a bit, build a wall, wait, build another wall etc. and see if that resolves it
Your excellent idea was quite timely Sylva 😀
Interesting. Maybe its intentional to avoid spam or something? Why are you sending spaces to people?
Thanks! my mind went completely blank on that one, I only ever cut through there 😀 same with crossroads, but that’s definitely true
PVP is enabled in market square, galebrook, battleground cemetery, catacombs, underworld, south sands desert and I probably missed something, oh, snowtop peaks.
PVP is NOT enabled in wellington, wolf cave, newbie village, southern pass, that place north of market square (can’t remember the name). If you walk into an area and the name of the are is green, you are in a non-pvp area.
If you have infamy anyone can hit you anywhere regardless. The non-pvp areas are largely new, this started out as a PVP game, dev added some safe areas (which are often a source of contention between older and newer players).
So, to answer ‘why is PVP enabled inside of town?”, it always has been enabled inside of town. Safer areas were added to try to balance out the people who just wanted to farm or be merchants and not interact with the rest of the world. Whether or not you die as soon as you enter galebrook depends on luck and which server you’re on. killing new players is frowned on in some servers, but still may happen. We don’t have “server police” on texas but you’ll generally catch some hell for chasing new players away from the game.
Its been 30s since Feb for a normal disconnect, not sure what happens during combat tho
Tier 4, which is at 25% (I think, can’t check right now) and four mystery meat.
The # of meat matches the tier group of pets. If you’re trying to get a tier 2 pet you would drop 2 meat, if you drop 3 meat you’re only going to get tier 3 pets.
You get different pets from cats than you get from dogs, as well. There seems to be a base group of possible pets with some pets you only get from one or the other. You can’t, for example, get a horse or bunny from a dog, it has to be a cat, but you also seem to have a chance to get one of the things you’d get from a dog like caterpillars etc.
There’s a guide that’s in progress in the wiki at https://mysteralegacy.fandom.com/wiki/Pet_Costumes
note – if you are reading this and i’m incorrect on any point please reply 🙂 its a learn as you go thing, any help updating the wiki is also appreciated
upkeep is kind of a pain, there are (as described above) ways to reduce this headache but it’s still there, XP gains are reduced in wellington so training there isn’t great, you can’t train things past a certain level at all from what i’m told, and on our server nobody really takes you seriously if you only live there. That said, there are groups of farmers that I’ve seen in texas wellington that I don’t think ever leave, and they’re content. So, its an option for playstyle, it definitely has its downsides (both for it housing trolls, xp, upkeep, etc.) but I think the overall impact to the game is negligible – if you know how to build a base properly in galebrook its really hard to raid there too and you’re not getting this vanilla half-of-the-game experience there like you would in wellington.
while its frustrating that you cannot quite get back at that guy who lives in wellington but raids you in galebrook in that he’s often somewhere that you can’t kill him repeatedly, your items are probably forfeit anyway. It would take a small army and countless hours to raid any of the larger tribe bases in galebrook on most servers already so I don’t see a huge difference here. I suppose one could argue that they’re spending far less resources to have the same defensive impact, but in the end you’ve still lost all your items to someone bigger who you can’t get back at.
So, yes, It’s kind of a cop out to live there but it is what it is. If pvp/raiding was enabled in wellington so you could raid people there like you could in galebrook then you’d just see more towers and walls and probably die trying to get in just like you would in galebrook.
I’ve been told that the max count of a single item in one pile is 1 million, and that you can drop 75 individual items or item stacks on one tile before getting a warning that the pile will crush. I haven’t tested myself, but I do have piles that are crushing
