    In reality, the player marketplace seems rather thin with our amount of players and I doubt if you made 12 bronze swords, you could sell the 11 of them unruned. So instead, the crafting of runed items is just a way to convert bronze (for example) into gems or gold… which means the mark up would be way lower…

    Yeah, even most runes won’t actually sell. I think I could expect to move maybe 1-2% of crafts. I can at least guarantee that all my crafts will be +3, but even then most of them still go in the rubbish bin.

    Which is fine, it’s just a pricing factor to compensate for.

    (Which reminds me, I need to just sit down, go UW, and set up my gem exchange again.)

    I’ve been trying to think of how to incorporate gems into my store as well, but it feels like a security risk with the present implementation of locks.

    For pricing this is what I’ve been thinking of though:

    100 gems per (1) rank.
    250 gems per (2) rank.
    500 gems per (3) rank.

    Simply added for multiple runes, and planning to only sell the handful there’s demand for.

    Also with the understanding that any of my crafts will be +3s as well.

    And if there’s any super amazing ones that really stand out they can be offered for auction.

    This came up in another thread as well. πŸ™‚ From that I gather that you won’t be able to reincarnate until you out-level it with a different skill:

    If you did manage to get the max of 4 blue stars in one category and still have it as your top skill then the game will ask you to focus something else before letting you reincarnate. Though JVH might adjust things, now that testing has begun

    So, in my experience, each level has a certain number of things that can spawn, so you can get more gem rocks by clearing others as well as breaking tables/looting chests/using altars etc.

    Oh so you can even fish for altar spawns, interesting. I’ll see how it works out, ty!

    Ruby and emerald scaling beyond +3 is 1,000 for +4 and 10,000 for +5 which is the max for everything except two handers.

    Yikes. Wonder why it’s not 500 for +3 and 2500 for +4 then. Alrighty. ^_^

    I was also curious about the weight-based inventory system.

    I basically play this game to mine; at present the temporary 2,000 weight limit has me overburdened after mining 3-4 rocks and a full trip could hit 30,000 weight, with longer trips weighing 45,000-60,000 or more (estimates based on between 50 and 100 rocks).

    I know this is an early application of a new mechanic and everything will be in process for a little while, that’s no problem at all. I just had two questions.

    Short term: When do we think I may be able to go on mining trips again? A few days?

    Long term: Will mining trips weighing 60,000 to 90,000 be possible anymore, or will a reasonably reachable weight limit be substantially lower than that?

    Also good luck working out the new patch and everything, I’m keen to see what comes of it. πŸ™‚

    Or I would like /who to display a characters full name if the current system persists; anything as long as there’s a way to identify people especially as the game expands.

    And I would also like there not to be a time limit on editing forum posts. :3

    I would prefer characters to have one fixed name that they go by for all chat- and game-related purposes, with the option of a surname for flavor only.

    Update–I’m told the server wipes duped items periodically, so I used the wood that was mine, dumped the duped amount and started a new pile from scratch. I’m still left with 4 accessories, and I’m not sure which are which, so I’ll just wait for two of them to vanish. If there’s anything else I should do or know let me know. πŸ™‚

    I think you got stuck on the wrong side of Tux’s agenda to drive any/all Russian players out of the game Koto. Possibly because of other players you were in a tribe with. I don’t like it and I’ve told him as much but I’m not sure what else to feasibly do about it and that’s the only reason I know of for him to be targeting you so vehemently.

    (The reason is history of aggression by some Russian tribes and distrust of new players potentially being those players’ alts — so basically a repeat of the FL scare.)
