Tux is correct. Reincarnation is a lot of work but it is targeted at players with very long term goals. If this is something that doesn’t appeal to you, ascension is a perfectly viable option. I would argue that the issue with reincarnation is more that so many people misunderstand it’s purpose. So many players reincarnate, yet a handful of them ever reach a point where it was worth it to do so – most will get bored and leave before then. Characters that reincarnate long term (i.e. how it should be done) already get huge benefits, increasing the reward would unbalance things.

I think base level increase overall is mediocre.. It only adds a little bit of health right? Aside from being able to wear higher level gear it’s not very great. That being said, I think Reincarnating is fine the way it is.

It’s pretty balanced being able to have the two path choices there currently is. Not everyone wants to reincarnate and they don’t have to feel obligated to do so.
