The experimental Chaos AI can enter the world now. They are mainly spawned by players who dare to open the dark treasure chests in exchange for a little gold. Beware they are smarter than the average cow, but for the sake of balance have been limited in their cognitive abilities.

They have their own language and love to train skills like destruction, leveling up like a player. They may pick up equipment and make use of it.. and they hold grudges for life, so be careful getting on their bad side (more…)

The strongest equipment in the game is now available to see. The last owner is shown though it may be bone pile loot in some cases. Note that bone pile loot will only give high level items corresponding to your underworld depth. For example if a level 100 player dies their loot is only available in bone piles on level 100 or deeper.

Gem bonuses for 2 handed equipment is also changed in this update. The cap is doubled so you can get +20 skill slots and +10 damage/defense slots. The cost is 20k gems to max out a slot so the gem scaling is smooth above (more…)

Finally the new cooking system is here and ready for testing along with some new crops. With some hematite and silver you can craft a cooking pot which can be placed on a fire. Then you can drop in spices or other raw ingredients to create unique dishes. You can extend the meal’s nutrition, expiration date, buff potency and duration depending on the ingredients, cooking time, and skill. So with the right technique you could create a special dish that completely fills your hunger bar, gives you 2.5x experience, +5 to all skills, and +3 regen/second for over an hour! Cooking isn’t quite finished yet but some of the fun ingredients are implemented so I decided to add those before I delay the patch too long. The cooking system will combine food with spices that give certain buffs. Eating the raw spices by themselves gives a small effect as well: Black Pepper will boost your experience gain. Caraway will give you a small speed boost. Honey will increase all your skill levels for (more…)

With some yarn and aloe you can make bandages which are useful to heal your allies and pets. They even work during battle and can be targeted so this will help those who prefer supporting roles. Your healing abilities will get better over time.
