Sorry if this has been asked before, I have not been able to find a search option in forums and the guide/wiki doesn’t seem to answer this. Is it possible to use a padlock made by another person? I found a lock and I keep getting a message that it won’t work for me, is it basically junk at this point? Using a lens on it gave no clues to its original owner.
Unfortunately, you can only use the locks made by yourself or someone in your tribe.
That would explain how it came to find it on the ground then 🙂 I suppose the last person could not use it either. Thanks for the answer!
