Currently the only benefit to improving your digging skill is the ability to dig up road and floor tiles more easily. There are 2 other (much more useful) uses for digging that I think should improve with level: clay harvesting and underworld floor digging.
It’s my opinion that the maximum diggable depth in UW should scale with you digging level. For example, it could be 2 floors per digging level. If I have 100 digging, I feel I should be able to dig to floor 200 before my poor digging muscles just cant take it anymore. It doesn’t make sense to me that a level 1 digger and a level 100 digger have the same cap and dig through the UW at the same rate.
As far as clay goes, I feel like this one is pretty straight-forward.. The clay harvesting mechanic would have to be changed, tbf.. But I think it’d make for a much better incentive to level an otherwise almost useless skill.
What’s everyone else think? I think an update like this could coincide nicely with the new shovels we’re supposed to be getting soon.

I logged in for first time just to agree with the idea, i think it also makes complete sense, I would also add farming dirt to the equation and hope in future updates, when admin finally give us bronze and iron shovels it also reflect in our time farming clay, dirt or making holes. As it does when using different tools while mining and chopping.April 6, 2018 at 5:37 am #6834I might have a slight biased, being top digging on west, but I fully support this! I’ve wanted to post something similar but you know me and forums.
