Impossible to get all blue stars.

Is there a flaw in the system when it comes to gaining maximum blue stars?

If we had all blue stars, we wouldnt get any experience and would be stuck at level 0.

Tbh, I don’t think you can even get 300 blue stars, let alone all blue stars. After a certain point, you just won’t be able to get enough exp to hit the cap for reincarnating even if you have maxed all the skills.

Mobs should give exp when killed. This will help solve this issue.

In the meantime, it would be nice to be able to refund a blue star in exchange for myst to allow players who have been reincarnating since the beginning a chance to fix some of their mistakes.

In your video, you are only using two skills: archery and hunter. Shooting gives archery skill exp, finishing a mob gives hunter skill exp. Skill exp is only added to your total level exp if that skill is below maximum yellow stars unlocked by skill mastery. In your case, both archery (7 blue stars) and hunter (10 blue stars) are above skill mastery level (6 yellow stars). Your hunter exp will never be added to your total exp, and archery will only be added if you unlock 8th yellow star.

I am also concerned with high-end reincarnation balance, and people have asked about it before on these forums ( @Pennywise ?). We don’t know for sure how it works, but it seems that it is indeed impossible to 10-star all skills. It is only possible to reincarnate as long as total exp required for reincarnation is less than total exp that can be gained in skills that are under 10 blue stars. Not to mention that it will be super grindy, because one will need a ton of myst to unlock yellow stars with skill mastery for every reincarnation.

Myst isnt an issue and trading in blues for myst wouldnt help making max level it would just let you swap a blue for a different blue.
If you alloe exp after maxing it makes the only way to rein through grinding skills like smelting and cooking and forage. Im sure he will come up with something but those dont work

I was just suggesting being able to refund stars that are detrimental to reincs. For example, I purposely keep my hunting blue stars low so that I can always finish off my reinc with hunting. Otherwise I have to collect myst without collecting as much exp at the end of my reinc. If we could refund stars, it would allow us to fine tune our characters. Getting myst in return would just be a bonus.

if your hunting stars are high it wont take top skill say you are trying to get third blue in something and you have 3 hunt blues, as long as you don’t unlock 4th skill mastery hunt will never be top skill.

I’m not worried about me, I planned it out well. I’m just thinking of Deadflag, he already maxed his hunting stars and that makes his path to leveling harder than it needs to be. He should have left some room to use hunting for exp gain. Now UW runs are actually taking away from more profitable exp gains making them more time consuming to the reinc process. For me, UW runs are always making gains towards reinc while I’m gathering resources simultaneously. Refunding stars would allow people to make corrections in situations like these.

So just to make sure I understand everything right, say you have 9 blue’s in Hunting. From what I understand you will only gain character exp from Hunting if your skill mastery is at least 9? And will you only gain 10 Hunting levels worth of character exp and then it stops?

Where the exp comes from doesnt matter as long as it comes. Im saying that isnt true becuase people woyld just max the easy fast skills. Him maxing hunt means he had 10 fast hunting blues and getting more fast blues from same thing would make reins boring. Only being able to do each star once is important to the system working.

With maxed hunt he can now kill as much as he wants and not worry about him accidently making hunt top. If he uses a maxed out weapon skill then he has actually unlocked the ability to farm forever without ruining what blue hes going for which is huge.

This is interesting, I already found myself grinding without EXP gain to fix certain skill and not reset in hunting.
