You need to add an opportunity to complain about the player. (like /Ρomplain ‘nick’ ‘reason’) If enough players complain, administrators will notice it.
July 29, 2018 at 10:55 am #10748Like if toxic player kill for no reason and insult, much players will camplain him and admins will warn him.
July 29, 2018 at 12:47 pm #10761I do understand this issue. Maybe an ignore player in all type of chats is helpful. For now only in broadcast chat they can be ignored.
July 29, 2018 at 4:43 pm #10765This is a VERY GOOD IDEA
what im thinking is having a 3 warnings system
1)at first warning the player is not allowed to use the /who and /friend command so he cant check if his targets are online
2)at second warning the player has permanent INFAMY (make infamy great again π π :D)
3)at third warning his account gets deleted (well we could skip warning him for a third time anyway)
This will definitely deter pk π
July 29, 2018 at 10:03 pm #10788Or like what i ever said in game once, those who killed players that have infamy, get maybe extra exp or myst or something.
July 29, 2018 at 11:33 pm #10791Great ideas ppl π
Or you could use another option
Once the player tries to allow /pvp he immediately gets bAND from the game forever!
:DDDDDD
July 30, 2018 at 2:33 am #10796You understand a bit wrong, its not a punish sistem. Just if a lot of players will complain, admins will see it and they will warn him.
P.S. My english soo baad Sry π
July 30, 2018 at 9:12 am #10818Good ideas guys. But PVP is part of game… The only way for that don’t exist is creating a NO PVP server or the server Punish the “badguy”.
I agree to create a command:
/report [player] [reason]
Like iSkyLine said. And a GM checking the reports.July 30, 2018 at 9:45 am #10820You understand me wrong. I agree PvP is part of the game, and i dont say: ” Lets ban all killers” No no Like if someone 100 lvl kill every guy he see for no reason and insult in chat, this comand will be perfect.
July 31, 2018 at 2:46 am #10866This is a pvp sandbox game. The original design made it so we could police ourselves. That’s changed a lot with the introduction of pvp free areas like Wellington, but the intent is still there. I can understand reporting those who are using intentional abusive or racist language in global, however reporting a player for going on a killing spree is a different story. It would significantly hurt the pvp side of the game. Pvp has taken enough of a hit in the last few updates. Even this most recent patch yet again increased the infamy penalties. I run one of the more peaceful tribes on my server, and even I am getting annoyed at folks constantly hiding in Wellington and only leaving to grief before retreating back to the safe zones to avoid retaliation. More restrictions on pvp at this point can only hurt the game. I would rather see a system for reporting players spamming global with ignorant comments or walls of gibberish. Maybe it could prevent them from speaking in global until the GM’s could check the logs to see what they were saying. And restricting them to only local and tribe chat for a period of time once the chat logs have been verified for abuse. Repeat offenders could receive increasingly long penalties or straight up bans from global. Would cut down on folks creating alts just to brief global.
July 31, 2018 at 3:43 am #10869PVP IS PART OF GAME YES WE DONT NEED TO BAN FOR KILLING I KNOW
Sorry
Again, i dont say: “lets punish all killers” I just want to see this sistem in game. Anyway if admins will see ban recuests with reasons: “He kill me for nothink” or somethink like that they will do nothink, but if this guy lets say he insult in chat and hurt players with his words they will warn, i think. Just a sistem to give more control to admins.July 31, 2018 at 8:26 am #10868Lol so stop people from posting in global while in safe zones? Makes nub villa a bit more of a grind (and stops the inevitable how do i play this game spam in global). Keep wellington users, wolf cave farmers “safe” frok verbal harm by having a chat cool down (I.E you need to be in a pvp area for 15 min before you can use global?) And having a “safe” global for those in Wellington?
July 31, 2018 at 3:33 pm #10889The cool down and separate chats is a pretty good idea. They should have one going the other direction though too, so when you run your mouth in global you can’t enter a safe zone for the next hour.
July 31, 2018 at 5:22 pm #10896Outside of having an option to click on a user name to /ignore them, I think things are ok as they are now. Things are too subjective and you can’t please everyone’s eyes, and making it too easy to report people will generate a lot of work for whoever has to read them all and sort out whether its ‘truly offensive’. Someone calling someone names or having a fit in global chat is fine, /ignore is good for that. Someone spouting racist, sexist, or outright pornographic (again, how offensive depends on the person reading it) things in global chat should result in a report in forums, which I’m sure they stay on top of. If it’s so bad that its not sufficient to /ignore them, then we already have a way to report them here with only a tiny increase in the amount of effort needed.
August 1, 2018 at 1:26 am #10906Well, intrasting is there are rules of this game somewhere? I realy whant to read them π Or maybe this game without any rules and we can make apocalypse here xD
